Fruit lesson of three kinds of breasts
When a family was eating, the son suddenly asked his father how many kinds of breasts women have. After the father’s surprise, he used watermelon, pear, and onion as metaphors to correspond to the changes at twenty, in the thirties and forties, and after fifty, respectively. The final line, “Looking at them will make you cry,” pushed the joke to its climax. Taking this classic family joke as its core, the story expands the dining-table conversation, the father’s helpless explanations, and the family’s reactions, full of everyday black humor.
